Chili Cook-off and Bluegrass

On January 31st will host our annual Chili Cook-off and special musical guest, The Leatherwoods.

The Chili Cook-off will start at 5PM. You'll sample different chilis and vote on which one is your favorite. 

At 6:30, The Leatherwoods will play some great music for us.The Leatherwoods have been performing Ole' Time Ozark music in Mountain View, AR. since the early eighties. These four performers play fiddle, base fiddle, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, mountain dulcimer, autoharp and the spoons  and sing.   Their music includes, Country, Gospel, Folk, Blues and Bluegrass.  Jean Jennings formed the group in the early 80s. Currently the group includes: Roger Fountain on fiddle, Danny Dozier sings and plays many instruments, Teresa Johns plays bass and sings and Pam Setser sings and plays mountain dulcimer and other instruments. 
The Leatherwoods have performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and appear often at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View.  Members of the group have performed  at the Grandpa Jones Family Dinner Theater in Mtn. View, won talent contests held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and appeared on the Louisiana Hayride, Hee Haw, and the Tonight Show.    A love offering will be taken during the performance.
