Loving God - Loving People!
Children's MinistriesAt Saint Paul UMC, we believe children are special! We also believe that helping children develop a personal relationship with Christ is the most important thing we can do for them. We offer several opportunities each week for children to come to church and learn about God's love.
Sundays at Saint Paul
Rotation Sunday School
Take a "Journey with Saint Paul" in our Route 66 themed Sunday School classrooms! On Sunday mornings, our classes begin at 9:45 a.m. Children from preschool age through 4th grade meet in one of five different learning environments. Childen will learn by using their eyes and ears as they watch a movie in the Saint Paul Cinema. In the Majestic Theater, children learn the Bible lesson through games and interactive drama. World Wide Web is where the lesson is taught through the technology of Bible based programs designed for the Bible scripture. It is always a fun time in the One-Way Cafe , as children learn the story through cooking. Their creativity can run wild in the Under Construction Junction, where crafts are used to teach the bible story . Each week, kids experience the Biblical lesson in a way that encourages the development of faith and discipleship. Our teachers are committed Christians who love children and wish to help them along on their faith journey.
Jonathan's Child Sunday School
This class is designed for children with special needs. We have a large carpeted area where the children will have their lesson led by a trained volunteer. There is a handicapped accessible restroom located in the classroom. Parents who wish to enjoy an adult Sunday School class while being able to keep an eye on their child will appreciate the adjoining classroom with a one-way window into the children's area. For more information call 268-7440 or email jennifer.stpaul@ymail.com.
Nursery
Our nursery is available each Sunday morning for infants and toddlers during the 8:50am and 10:50am worship service, as well as during Sunday School beginning at 9:45am. The nursery is located in the Little Saints Daycare Building. Each Sunday they will learn a different Bible story and have music time.
Acolytes
This wonderful ministry is open to all children 3rd - 6th grade. Acolytes serve during the 10:50am service. They represent bringing the Light of God for our worship, and the remind us that we are to take the Light of the world out with us as we go. Training is held once per semester. After completing the training session, your child will then have the opportunity to serve in the months to come.
WACKY WEDNESDAY
"Believe In God, believe also in me." (John 14:1) The children will find themselves involved in discussions about life, the Bible, and what living B.I.G(Belief in God) is all about. They will learn about Creation of the Earth, Jesus and Peter, Jesus and the Disciples, Jesus and the Children, Jesus and the Woman at the Wall, Noah gives thanks, One Leper gives thanks, A dance of thanks, and Zechariah and Elizabeth give thanks.
