Katherine Britt has been hired as the new director of Little Saints Child Development Center. Katherine grew up in Beebe. She began working at Little Saints in 2008 and has worked in every age group classroom. Her husband, Joshua, is a home builder and is currently involved in three building sites as well as their own new family home in Floyd. Katherine stated she hopes to be in their new home by Christmas of 2017. They are currently living in the Higginson area.
They have two children, Jacob who is 9 and enrolled at West Side Elementary and very involved in Little League baseball. Last year his team won State and the World Series! Then for fun he played Fall Ball in Cabot 2 nights per week. Their two year old daughter, Brooklyn, is enrolled at Little Saints.
In August Katherine plans to enroll in Liberty Universities’ on-line program for Early Childhood Development.
Katherine is well liked by her staff and says that she loves her job and considers Little Saints to be her second home. All of her employees are CPR certified and up to date. The hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with 10 full time employees and 10 part time employees. The current enrollment is 70 students. A summer program for a maximum of 26 school aged children is planned for the summer months. Kathryn and Amy Coleman are working together to find a Bible curriculum that can be used across all of the Little Saints classrooms and also tie in with the chapel programs that Amy does for all of the students on Fridays.
Let’s introduce ourselves to Katherine and welcome her as Director of our Little Saints program.
